Ingredients

Filling:

  • 1 cup (250 g) apricot jam
  • 1½ cups (150 g) ground walnuts
  • ½ cup (100 g) sugar

  • 4 oz (115 g) dark chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Make the dough:
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    Cut in butter until crumbly.
    Add egg and sour cream. Knead gently into a soft dough.
    Divide into 3 equal parts. Chill 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare filling:
    Mix ground walnuts and sugar.
  3. Assemble layers:
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    Roll out first dough portion to fit a 9×13-inch pan.
    Spread half the apricot jam, then sprinkle half the walnut mixture.
    Repeat with second layer.
    Top with final dough layer.
  4. Bake:
    Bake 30–35 minutes until lightly golden. Cool completely.
  5. Glaze:
    Melt chocolate with butter until smooth.
    Spread evenly over cooled cake.
    Let set before slicing into bars.
