Hungarian Strawberry Jam (Eperlekvár) – Don’t Lose This Recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 3 kg strawberries
  • 700 g sugar

Instructions:

  1. Wash, clean, and hull the strawberries.
  2. Mash them by hand (or use a potato masher).
  3. Add the sugar and mix well.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. From boiling point, cook for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  6. Blend with a hand blender if you want a smooth texture.
  7. Continue cooking until it reaches a thick jam consistency.
  8. Pour into clean jars, close tightly, and let cool.
