Hungarian Nut Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g ground walnuts
  • 200 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For Coating:

  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, ground walnuts, powdered sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the butter and vanilla extract. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Shape the dough into small balls or crescents.
  5. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  7. Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Dust generously with powdered sugar while still slightly warm.
  9. Allow to cool completely before serving.
