Ingredients
- 400 g (14 oz) wide egg noodles or pasta
- 300 g (10 oz) cottage cheese (or farmer’s cheese / ricotta, drained)
- 150 g (5 oz) bacon, diced
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper

- ½ cup sour cream (traditional in many homes)
Instructions
- Cook pasta
- Boil pasta in well-salted water until tender. Drain.
- Crisp bacon
- Cook diced bacon in a pan until golden and crispy.
- Remove bacon; keep the rendered fat in the pan.
- Combine
- Add butter to the bacon fat.
- Toss in hot pasta, coating well.
- Gently fold in cottage cheese.
- Finish
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle crispy bacon on top.
- Add sour cream if using.
