Cheesy Hamburger Potato Casserole

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven
    • Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Cook the Beef
    • In a skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is soft.
    • Drain excess grease. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Prepare the Sauce
    • In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese until smooth.
  4. Layer the Casserole
    • Arrange half the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the baking dish.
    • Spread half the beef mixture, then half the soup mixture.
    • Repeat the layers and finish with remaining cheese on top.
  5. Bake
    • Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes.
    • Remove foil and bake for another 15–20 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  6. Serve
    • Let cool slightly before serving. Pairs perfectly with a green salad or steamed veggies! 🥗

💡 Tips:

  • You can substitute ground turkey or sausage for the beef.
  • Add sliced mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach for extra flavor.
  • For a creamier texture, use half-and-half instead of milk.
