Ingredients:

  • 300 g dried beans (soaked overnight)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 parsley root (optional)
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2–3 slices smoked bacon or smoked meat (optional)
  • 1 tbsp oil or lard
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1.5–2 liters water or broth
  • 1 tbsp vinegar (to taste)
