Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½–¾ cup water (as needed)

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add eggs and stir.
  3. Gradually add water, mixing until you get a soft, sticky batter (thicker than pancake batter but thinner than dough).
  4. Using a spaetzle maker, colander, or spoon, press small portions of batter into the boiling water.
  5. Cook 2–3 minutes, until the noodles float to the surface.
  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
