🧁 Instructions
1. Preheat oven
Preheat to 375°F (190°C) and line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners or grease it lightly.
2. Make the muffin batter
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, egg, oil (or butter), and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined — don’t overmix.
3. Prepare the cinnamon filling
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until smooth.
4. Layer and swirl
- Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter.
- Add about ½ teaspoon of cinnamon filling on top and gently swirl with a toothpick.
- Add another spoonful of batter to cover, then top with a small drizzle of cinnamon filling and swirl again.
5. Bake
Bake for 18–22 minutes, until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
6. Glaze
- Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle over warm muffins for that perfect cinnamon roll finish.
💡 Tips
- For richer muffins, use buttermilk instead of regular milk.
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the filling for a little crunch.
- You can double the glaze for extra gooey sweetness!
