  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175Β°C (350Β°F). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix bread batter:
    • In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar.
    • Add oil, milk, lemon juice, zest, and vanilla.
    • Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  3. Cream cheese layer:
    • Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and flour until creamy.
  4. Assemble:
    • Pour half the batter into the pan.
    • Spoon cream cheese mixture over it.
    • Add remaining batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
  5. Bake 45–55 minutes, until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  6. Cool completely. Drizzle with lemon glaze if desired.
