🇭🇺 Hungarian Túrós Zserbó (Cottage Cheese Zserbó Cake) – Don’t Lose This Recipe!


👨‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, butter, eggs, and sour cream. Knead until you get a smooth dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
  3. Roll out the first layer and place it in a baking tray.
  4. Spread a layer of apricot jam on top.
  5. Mix tĂşrĂł, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, lemon zest, and semolina until creamy. Spread half of this mixture over the jam.
  6. Add the second layer of dough, then repeat: jam + remaining tĂşrĂł filling.
  7. Cover with the third dough layer.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 35–40 minutes until golden.
  9. Let it cool completely, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
