🇭🇺 Hungarian Mushroom Soup

🧾 Ingredients

  • 500 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp Hungarian paprika
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 750 ml vegetable or chicken broth
  • 250 ml milk
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot and sauté the onion until soft.
  2. Add mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Stir in paprika and flour.
  4. Gradually add broth while stirring continuously.
  5. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Add milk and soy sauce, then cook for 5 minutes more.
  7. Stir in sour cream and lemon juice.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
