
Ingredients:
Dough:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 250 g butter, softened
- 50 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 7 g dry yeast
- 120 ml warm milk
- Pinch of salt
Filling:
- 250 g ground walnuts
- 150 g apricot jam
- 100 g sugar
Chocolate Glaze:
- 150 g dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions:
- Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and let stand for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add butter, egg, and yeast mixture. Knead into a smooth dough.
- Divide the dough into 3 equal portions.
- Roll out the first portion and place it in a greased baking pan.
- Spread half of the apricot jam over the dough and sprinkle with half of the walnut-sugar mixture.
- Add the second rolled-out dough layer and repeat with the remaining jam and walnut mixture.
- Top with the final dough layer.
- Let rest for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Melt the chocolate with the butter and spread evenly over the top.
- Let the glaze set before slicing into squares.
