Ingredients:
For the Filling:
- 1.5 lbs (700 g) freshwater fish (carp or catfish), finely minced
- 1 cup (200 g) cooked rice
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika (sweet or smoked)
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Wrap:
- 1 large head of cabbage (leaves separated and softened in boiling water)
For the Sauce:
- 2 cups (500 ml) tomato puree
- 1 cup (250 ml) fish stock or water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp Hungarian paprika
- 1/2 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup sour cream for garnish
