Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken with Creamy Parmesan Pasta

Juicy, golden chicken in a bright lemon-garlic butter sauce served over rich, creamy Parmesan pasta. Perfect for an easy but impressive dinner!


Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

For the Creamy Parmesan Pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Directions

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta
Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2️⃣ Cook the Chicken
Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Make Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
Stir in lemon juice and chicken broth. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over top. Sprinkle with parsley.

4️⃣ Prepare Creamy Parmesan Sauce
In a separate pan, melt butter. Add garlic and cook briefly.
Pour in heavy cream and simmer 3–4 minutes.
Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth.
Add cooked pasta and toss. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.

5️⃣ Serve
Plate creamy pasta and top with lemon garlic butter chicken. Spoon extra sauce over everything.
