
Instructions
1. Make the dough
- Mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Let it foam for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, vanilla.
- Add egg, melted butter, and yeast mixture.
- Knead until smooth and elastic (8–10 minutes).
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
2. Shape the chimney rolls
- Roll dough into thin strips (about 2 cm wide).
- Wrap strips around your mold, slightly overlapping.
- Roll gently to seal the edges.
3. Coat with butter & sugar
- Brush dough generously with melted butter.
- Roll or sprinkle with sugar (or cinnamon sugar mix).
4. Bake in oven
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
- Place mold on a rack or baking tray (so air can circulate)
- Bake 15–20 minutes, turning halfway for even caramelization
- Bake until golden and crispy
5. Finish
- While still warm, brush again lightly with butter
- Roll in sugar or toppings if desired
