- Boil potatoes, peel, and mash them while warm. Let cool slightly.
- Mix mashed potatoes with flour, egg, and salt to form a soft dough.
- Roll out dough and cut into squares.
- Place a plum in each square and wrap into a ball.
- Boil dumplings in salted water until they float.
- In a pan, melt butter and toast breadcrumbs until golden.
- Roll cooked dumplings in the buttered breadcrumbs.
- Mix sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
- Serve warm.
