Hungarian Isler Cookies with Homemade Apricot Jam – Don’t Lose This Recipe!

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • 300 g flour
  • 200 g butter or margarine
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Filling:

  • Homemade apricot jam

Glaze:

  • 150–200 g dark chocolate
  • 1–2 tbsp oil or butter

Instructions:

  1. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, vanilla, salt, and butter until crumbly.
  2. Add egg yolk and knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Let dough rest for 20–30 minutes.
  4. Roll out and cut into circles.
  5. Bake at 180°C for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Let cookies cool completely.
  7. Spread apricot jam between two cookies to sandwich them.
  8. Dip or cover tops with melted chocolate glaze.
  9. Let set before serving.
