👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Activate yeast:
    Mix yeast with lukewarm milk and sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Make the dough:
    In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add butter, egg, and yeast mixture. Knead until you get a smooth, soft dough.
  3. Let it rise:
    Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  1. Shape the crescents:
    Divide the dough into 2–3 portions. Roll each into a circle, then cut into triangles (like pizza slices).
  2. Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip to form crescent shapes.

  1. Second rise:
    Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rest for 20–30 minutes.
  2. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with seeds if desired.
