
Ingredients:
Honey walnut layers:
- 500 g flour
- 150 g honey
- 150 g sugar
- 100 g butter or lard
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 150 g ground walnuts
- Pinch of salt
Cream filling:
- 500 ml milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 120 g sugar
- 40 g flour or cornstarch
- 200 g butter
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
Instructions:
- Heat honey, sugar, and butter until melted, then let cool slightly.
- Mix flour, baking soda, salt, and walnuts.
- Add egg and honey mixture, then knead into dough.
- Divide dough into 2–3 parts and bake thin layers at 180°C until golden.
- Cook milk, egg yolks, sugar, and flour into a thick cream.
- Let cream cool, then mix with butter and vanilla.
- Spread cream between layers.
- Stack and press lightly.
- Chill overnight for best taste, then slice.
