Hungarian Cottage Cheese Spread (Körözött) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 250 g cottage cheese (or farmer’s cheese)
  • 50 g butter (soft)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1–2 tsp Hungarian paprika
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix cottage cheese and softened butter until smooth.
  2. Add chopped onion, paprika, mustard, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well until creamy and well combined.
  4. Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
