  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 2 egg yolks

  • 1 pinch salt

For the filling:

  • 200 g ground walnuts
  • 100 g sugar
  • 50–80 ml milk
  • Zest of 1 lemon

For coating:

  • Powdered sugar

  1. Make the dough:
    In a bowl, mix flour, powdered sugar, and salt.
  2. Add cold butter and rub until crumbly.
  3. Add egg yolks and vanilla, then knead into a smooth dough.

  1. Chill dough:
    Wrap and refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours (this is key for texture).

  1. Prepare filling:
    Mix ground walnuts with sugar, lemon zest, and enough milk to form a soft paste.

  1. Shape cookies:
    Roll out chilled dough thinly.
  2. Cut into small rectangles or circles.
  3. Add a small amount of filling and roll or fold into crescents or small logs.

🔥 Bake:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden (do not overbake)

While still warm, dust generously with powdered sugar.
