Hungarian Cabbage and Noodles (Káposztás Tészta)

Ingredients

  • 300 g egg noodles
  • 500 g cabbage (finely shredded)
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook egg noodles in boiling salted water, then drain.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cabbage.
  3. Sprinkle sugar and cook until cabbage is soft and lightly caramelized (10–15 minutes).
  4. Season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Add cooked noodles and mix well.
  6. Cook together for 2–3 minutes.

Serve warm (can be slightly sweet or more savory depending on taste).
