
Instructions
- Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix into a soft dough.
- Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
- Divide dough into 3 equal pieces and roll into long ropes.
- Braid the ropes and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before slicing.
