Hungarian Apricot Jam (Sárgabarack Lekvár) – Don’t Lose This Recipe!

Instructions

  1. Wash the apricots, remove the pits, and cut into pieces.
  2. Place them in a large pot and cook on low heat until they start to soften and release juice.
  3. Blend or mash depending on desired texture.
  4. Add sugar and lemon juice, then continue cooking while stirring regularly.
  5. Simmer until thickened and glossy (about 45–90 minutes).
  6. Pour hot jam into sterilized jars and seal immediately.
  7. Turn jars upside down for a few minutes, then let cool completely.
