
Instructions
1. Make the dough
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt.
- Rub in cold butter until crumbly.
- Add egg + sour cream + vanilla → knead into soft dough.
- Divide into 2 equal portions.
- Roll each portion into a rectangle fitting your baking pan.
2. Prepare the filling
- Grate apples.
- Squeeze out excess juice.
- Mix with sugar + cinnamon + semolina.
3. Assemble
- Place first rolled dough sheet on a lined baking tray.
- Spread apple filling evenly.
- Cover with second dough sheet.
- Prick the top with a fork.
4. Bake
Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 30–35 minutes
or until lightly golden.
5. Finish
Let cool completely.
Dust generously with powdered sugar.
Cut into squares.
