Instructions

1. Prepare the Layers

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Beat egg whites with salt until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar and beat until glossy.
  4. Fold in ground hazelnuts and flour gently.
  5. Draw five 8-inch circles on parchment paper.
  6. Spread batter evenly into circles.
  7. Bake each layer for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
  8. Cool completely.

2. Make the Buttercream

  1. Whisk egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and milk in a saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
  3. Cool completely.
  4. Beat butter until fluffy.
  5. Add custard mixture gradually.
  6. Mix in melted chocolate and vanilla.
