GREEN BEANS STEW – ZÖLDBAB FŐZELÉK


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cook the beans:
    Place green beans in a pot with water or broth. Add a pinch of salt and cook for about 15–20 minutes until tender.

  1. Prepare the base:
    In a separate pan, heat oil or butter and sauté onion until soft.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in paprika, then add flour and mix well.

  1. Make the stew:
    Slowly add some of the cooking liquid from the beans to the onion mixture, stirring to create a smooth sauce.
  2. Pour this mixture back into the pot with the beans.

Finish with vinegar or lemon juice for a slightly tangy taste.

Season and finish:
Add dill, salt, pepper, and a little sugar if desired.

Stir in milk or cream and simmer gently for a few minutes (do not boil).
