- Cook onions
Heat oil in a large pot and cook onions until soft and golden. - Add paprika & beef
Remove briefly from heat, stir in paprika, then add beef and garlic. Cook until browned. - Add vegetables
Stir in carrots, potatoes, tomato, and bell pepper. - Simmer
Pour in broth, season with salt and pepper, cover, and simmer 1Β½β2 hours until beef is tender. - Serve
Serve hot with crusty bread or Hungarian dumplings.
