
Instructions
1. Prepare the filling
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanilla.
- Add lemon zest and sour cream.
- Stir in semolina or breadcrumbs to thicken slightly.
- Let sit 5–10 minutes.
2. Prepare the dough
- Lay one sheet of phyllo on a clean surface.
- Brush lightly with melted butter.
- Layer 2–3 sheets for strength and flakiness.
3. Fill and roll
- Spread filling along one edge of the dough.
- Leave borders on the sides.
- Roll tightly into a log shape.
- Place seam-side down on a baking tray.
- Repeat for remaining dough.
4. Bake
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
- Brush top with butter
- Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and crisp
5. Finish
- Let cool slightly
- Dust generously with powdered sugar
- Slice and serve warm or cold
