
🥛🍞 Easy and Spongy Milk Bread Recipe 😍
Soft, fluffy, and slightly sweet — this milk bread stays tender for days and is perfect for sandwiches, toast, or just warm with butter.
🛒 Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2¼ tsp instant yeast
- ¾ cup warm milk
- ¼ cup warm water
- 3 tbsp butter (softened) or oil
- 1 egg (optional, for extra softness)
👩🍳 Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, water, sugar, and yeast. Rest 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add butter (or oil), salt, and egg (if using).
- Gradually add flour and knead 8–10 minutes until soft and elastic.
- Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
- Punch down dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased pan.
- Let rise again 30–40 minutes.
- Brush top with milk for a soft crust.
- Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 25–30 minutes until golden.
- Brush with butter while hot for extra softness ✨
