
🍫 Chocolate Cake with Creamy Filling
Ingredients
Chocolate Cake
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Creamy Filling
- 1 cup heavy cream, cold
- 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round pans (or one pan and slice later).
- In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
- Add milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Pour batter into pans and bake 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
Filling
5. Beat cream cheese until smooth.
6. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
7. Fold whipped cream into cream cheese.
Assemble
8. Spread creamy filling between cake layers (or slice cake and fill).
9. Chill 30 minutes before serving.
