Butterfly Sheet Cake Recipe

Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

For the Buttercream:

  • 1½ cups unsalted butter (softened)
  • 6 cups powdered sugar
  • 4-6 tablespoons heavy cream
  • Gel food coloring (pastel pink and lavender)

For Decoration:

  • Edible butterfly toppers (store-bought or handmade with rice paper)
  • Gold leaf or edible gold dust
  • Piping bags for floral designs
