🥘 Ingredients:
For the Chicken Paprikash Base:
- 2 lbs (900 g) chicken pieces (thighs or drumsticks, bone-in preferred)
- 2 tbsp lard or sunflower oil
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika
- 1 green pepper (optional, sliced)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tomato, chopped (or ½ cup canned diced tomatoes)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ cup sour cream (tejföl)
- 1 tbsp flour (for thickening, optional)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
For the Meatballs (Húsgombóc):
- ½ lb (250 g) ground pork or beef
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
- Salt & pepper, to taste
