🧾 Ingredients:

Dough:

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet dry yeast (7 g) or 25 g fresh yeast
  • 250 ml warm milk
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 80 g melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For coating:

  • 100 g melted butter
  • 100 g sugar (or cinnamon sugar mix, chopped nuts, cocoa, etc.)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Warm the milk and dissolve the yeast with 1 tsp sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, egg, vanilla, melted butter, and the activated yeast mixture.
  3. Knead into a soft, smooth dough (about 8–10 minutes). Cover and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and cut into long strips.
  5. Wrap the strips around a greased rolling pin or chimney cake mold, slightly overlapping.
  6. Brush with melted butter and roll in sugar.
  7. Bake at 180°C (350°F), rotating often, until golden brown and crispy (about 15–20 minutes).
  8. Remove carefully while warm and roll in extra toppings if desired (cinnamon sugar, nuts, coconut, etc.).
