
Hungarian Goulash (One-Pot) 🇭🇺
📝 Ingredients:
- 500 g (1 lb) beef (chuck or stew meat), cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp oil or lard
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Hungarian paprika (sweet)
- 1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped (or 1 tbsp tomato paste)
- 1 liter (4 cups) beef broth or water
- Salt and black pepper to taste

🥣 Instructions:
- Heat oil or lard in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onions and cook until soft and slightly golden.
- Stir in garlic and paprika (remove from heat briefly to avoid burning paprika).
- Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
- Mix in caraway seeds, salt, and pepper.
- Add carrots, bell pepper, tomato, and potatoes.
- Pour in broth or water, enough to cover everything.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5–2 hours until meat is tender.
- Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
