For the Dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
For the Filling:
- 2 cups pitted sour cherries (fresh or frozen)
- 2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Optional Topping:
- Powdered sugar

👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add butter and eggs, knead into a smooth dough.
- Press half of the dough into a greased baking pan.
- Mix cherries with sugar and cornstarch, then spread evenly over the dough.
- Crumble the remaining dough on top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden.
- Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
