Hungarian Chocolate Cream Cake (Tejszínes Kocka)

Ingredients

Cake

  • 4 eggs
  • 120 g sugar
  • 120 g flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Cream

  • 500 ml heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Chocolate glaze

  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
  2. Beat eggs with sugar until fluffy.
  3. Mix flour, cocoa, and baking powder, then gently fold into the eggs.
  4. Pour into a baking pan and bake 20–25 minutes. Let cool.
  5. Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread over the cake.
  6. Melt chocolate with butter and milk, then pour over the cream layer.
  7. Refrigerate 2 hours before cutting into squares.
