  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 4–5 eggs
  • 250 g Hungarian smoked sausage (kolbász), sliced
  • 250 g sour cream
  • 2 tbsp butter or lard
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes in their skins until tender; cool, peel, and slice.
  2. Hard-boil eggs, peel, and slice.
  3. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  4. Layer potatoes, salt lightly, add eggs, sausage, and sour cream. Repeat layers.
  5. Finish with potatoes and a thick layer of sour cream. Dot with butter.
  6. Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 35–40 minutes until golden.

Serve warm.
