
🍫🎉 Chocolate M&M Celebration Cake
Ingredients
Cake
- 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- 1½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot coffee or hot water
Chocolate Frosting
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 3½ cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ¼–⅓ cup milk or cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
Topping
- 1–1½ cups M&M’s (regular or mini)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line 2 round pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Slowly add hot coffee/water and mix (batter will be thin).
- Divide batter into pans and bake 30–35 minutes. Cool completely.
- Beat frosting ingredients until fluffy.
- Frost cake and generously cover the top (and sides if you like) with M&M’s.
- Chill 20 minutes before serving for clean slices.
