Cheesy Beef Stuffed Puff Pastry Squares

Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup marinara or tomato sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a pan, sauté onion until soft. Add garlic, then ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and seasoning. Cook until browned. Let cool slightly.
  3. Roll out puff pastry and cut into equal squares.
  4. Place a spoon of beef in the center of each square. Add a little tomato sauce and mozzarella.
  5. Fold pastry over filling to form a sealed square. Press edges well.
  6. Arrange in baking dish. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Serve hot.
