🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 kg (2.2 lb) oranges
  • 700 g sugar (about 3½ cups)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup water

Optional:

  • Orange zest (for stronger flavor)
  • 1 small cinnamon stick

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Wash oranges well. Peel and remove seeds. Cut oranges into small pieces.
  2. Place oranges and water in a pot. Cook on medium heat for 20–25 minutes until soft.
  3. Add sugar and lemon juice. Stir well.
  4. Cook on low–medium heat, stirring often, for 30–40 minutes until thick.
  5. Test jam: put a drop on a cold plate—if it sets, it’s ready.
  6. Remove from heat. Let cool slightly.
  7. Pour into clean, sterilized jars and seal.
