🥬 Cabbage with Eggs (Hungarian Style – Káposztás Tojás)

A simple, comforting dish made with sautéed cabbage and fluffy scrambled eggs. Quick, budget-friendly, and perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a light dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 small head cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons oil or butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until soft and lightly golden.
  3. Add shredded cabbage and sauté 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and slightly caramelized.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika if using.
  5. Beat eggs lightly in a bowl.
