This classic Hungarian stuffed pork roll is a true celebration dish — tender pork slices wrapped around a rich, flavorful filling with boiled eggs inside. Perfect for Sunday lunch or special family gatherings.

📝 Ingredients
For the Meat:
- 1.5 kg boneless pork loin
- Salt (for seasoning)
For the Filling:
- 1 kg ground meat
- 3 bread rolls, soaked in water and squeezed dry
- 4 boiled eggs, crushed by hand
- 2 raw eggs
- 2 onions, finely chopped and sautéed
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped
- Seasoning (Vegeta or similar)
- Ground black pepper
- Marjoram
- Garlic (finely chopped or garlic paste)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Pork
Slice the pork loin thinly.
Pound each slice gently with a meat mallet until even.
Salt both sides and set aside.
2️⃣ Make the Filling
In a large bowl, combine:
- Ground meat
- Squeezed bread rolls
- Crushed boiled eggs
- Raw eggs
- Sautéed onions
- Parsley
- Garlic
- Seasoning, pepper, and marjoram
Mix thoroughly by hand until well combined.
3️⃣ Fill and Roll
Place a portion of filling onto each flattened pork slice.
Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks or kitchen string.
4️⃣ Cook
Place the rolls in a greased baking dish.
You can:
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 60–75 minutes, turning once
or - Sear first in a pan for a golden crust, then finish baking in the oven.
Add a little water or broth to the baking dish to keep them juicy.
5️⃣ Serve
Let rest before slicing.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or fresh bread.
