
🥞 Hungarian Crepes (Palacsinta)
Ingredients
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 500 ml milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla (optional, for sweet version)
- Sparkling water or more milk (as needed)
- Oil or butter for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk flour, eggs, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla until very smooth.
- Batter should be thin and pourable (thinner than pancake batter). Add sparkling water or milk if needed.
- Heat a lightly greased non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Pour a small ladle of batter, swirl pan to coat thinly.
- Cook about 30–40 seconds, flip, cook another 20 seconds.
- Stack cooked crepes on a plate and keep covered.
