  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook meat: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef, Italian sausage, and diced onion over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add garlic, marinara sauce, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  4. Prepare cheese layer: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, ricotta, sour cream, Parmesan, egg (if using), and 1 cup of mozzarella until smooth.
  5. Assemble lasagna in a 9×13 baking dish:
    • Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom.
    • Add a layer of noodles.
    • Spread half of the cheese mixture.
    • Add a layer of meat sauce.
    • Repeat layers, ending with noodles and meat sauce on top.
    • Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of mozzarella over the top.

    Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
