🍰 Old-Fashioned Walnut Cake

Ingredients:

Cake:

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 150 g ground walnuts
  • 3 eggs
  • 120 ml milk
  • 120 g butter, melted
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For Topping (Optional):

  • Powdered sugar
  • Chopped walnuts

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, ground walnuts, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle with chopped walnuts if desired.
