
🔥 Instructions
1️⃣ Peel and cut the potatoes
Cut into classic fry shapes or thin sticks.
2️⃣ Rinse + soak
Rinse the fries under cold water, then soak 20–30 minutes to remove extra starch.
(This makes them super crispy!)
3️⃣ Dry well
Pat the potatoes dry completely with a towel.
4️⃣ Mix with cornstarch
Add 1 tbsp cornstarch and toss to coat.
This gives them that perfect crunch.
5️⃣ First fry (low heat)
Fry in medium-hot oil (300°F / 150°C) for 3–4 minutes.
They should soften but NOT brown yet.
Remove and let rest 10 minutes.
6️⃣ Second fry (high heat)
Increase heat to 375°F / 190°C.
Fry again until golden and crispy.
7️⃣ Season
Immediately sprinkle with salt and your favorite spices.
