- Make the cheese sauce:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter.
- Whisk in the flour and cook 1–2 minutes until slightly golden.
- Slowly add the milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
- Add cheddar cheese, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Combine pasta and chicken:
- In a large mixing bowl or the pot used for pasta, combine cooked pasta, diced chicken, and chopped bacon.
- Pour the cheese sauce over everything and stir to coat evenly.
- Serve:
- Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
💡 Tips:
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a little smoked paprika or Parmesan on top before serving.
- Can bake in a casserole dish at 350°F (175°C) for 15–20 minutes until bubbly for a crispy top.
