
Instructions:
- In a large pot, place smoked turkey with water, chopped onion, garlic, black pepper, and salt.
- Simmer over medium heat for 1–1½ hours until turkey is tender and broth is flavorful.
- Add turnip greens, red pepper flakes, and apple cider vinegar. Cover and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until greens are soft.
- Remove turkey, shred the meat, and return it to the pot.
- Serve hot with cornbread for a classic Southern meal.
