1. Prepare the yeast
Warm the milk slightly and mix it with yeast and 1 tsp sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
2. Make the dough
In a large bowl, mix:

- salt
Add:
- cold butter (rub into flour until crumbly)
- egg yolks
- yeast mixture
- vanilla
Knead until you get a smooth, soft dough.
Divide into 3 equal parts and let rest for 20–30 minutes.
3. Roll and layer
Roll out the first dough layer and place it in a baking tray.
Spread:
- apricot jam
- then sprinkle walnuts mixed with sugar
Repeat for the second layer.
Place the third dough layer on top.
4. Bake
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Bake for 30–40 minutes until golden brown.
Let it cool completely (very important before glazing).
5. Chocolate glaze
Melt chocolate with butter and milk over low heat until smooth.
Pour over the cooled cake and spread evenly.
Let it set for a few hours (or overnight for best flavor).
